Sorry if any offence was taken, It was not intended by any means. I dont want anyone to think that I have a problem with any of the armed forces because I whole hartedly think you are all doing a top job. I was was just popping a little fun at what I saw when over at Dekeliha barracks in Cypris. I was there visiting a freind who was serving there. I had to laff at the way they had 3 full time squadies sat on the beach all day then teaching people to waterski then another couple teaching people to canoe, All of their own private beach

But fair play to them, I was jelouse I wish my job was vthat cool.

Obviously the bit where they have to go over to jorden was a sh*t though

This thread isn't racist. If I was an immigrant and I thought I could go somewhere I could get a better life then I would. It's true that there is criticism directed towards immigrants but only the idle waster sort that act as a drain on the economy and have no intention of contributing anything to it. If I was going to put them on a boat and ship them out they wouldn't be alone, they be accompanied by all the native british idle waster sorts too.

 

The main aim of this thread is to communicate views on the government. You can't just blame the immigrants for coming in, you've got to blame the government because first of all they let them in and then afterwards get in a giant flap about an immigration problem!

You're missing the point, many of them do work and work hard, we have plenty of home grown spongers too, and while we're at it what would you have them go back to?

 

Malaria and civil war in Somalia or Sierra Leone and other similar places?

Children born with aids cause their infected parents can't afford birth control?

No schooling because in many African countries the kids don't get to go to school because their parents can't afford the £2 per term school fees?

Hospitals that they have to walk for miles and miles to get to only to find when they arrive there are no drugs anyway and all the "hospital" consists of is a run down shack with an overworked and exhausted doctor and a few red cross staff?

How do I know? Coz I've been there done that, worked in many of them. I helped build a school in Sierra Leone for children who were mostly orphans many of whom were badly traumatised having witnessed the rape and slaughter of their families, are you gonna tell them they can't have a better life??

I don't see why we don't just go to war with countries like that which have corrupt governments. I know it's a big drain on resources but it'd benefit everyone in the long run.

This thread isn't the slightest bit racist. It's a pop at how the country is run. I'm pleased to say I didn't vote them in. If people who come over here to work, and do work, then fine. At my suppliers warehouse they have a guy from Poland, and a very sexy girl from Latvia who work hard and are great people. I don't have a problem with them.

 

Some people want to leave their country for a better life, but because of the way this country is set up, they can come over with the intention of sponging off us. It's like having someone you know but they annoy you come over to your house for lunch and end up staying until 2 in the morning, drinking your beer. There has to be a time when you say 'enough is enough'.

 

Watching the news tonight, who saw that radical Muslim cleric spouting off? My wife was apparantly shouting at the TV, telling him if he doesn't like it here, then f**k off back to the country he left.

 

And if anyone thinks I'm racist, I'll ask you to ring my next door neighbour who is black (from Jamaca, parents came over in the 60s) and a good Indian friend called Kulvinder. They both know my views on how the country is run, and share those same views, so it's not just white people who think that.

Incidentally,like many other people i never voted for the current government but you can be sure that im angry with them,when im not allowed to display a st Georges flag in my window,when my family & friends cannot travel on public transport without fear of being pick-pocketed,mugged or even blown up because of their actions you'd better believe im angry with them & stand by what was printed in the first post of this thread...........................

With you there aswell mate, thing is when it comes to voting, i'm 26 and out of all my mates and associates all around my age and thats a fair few i was the only one who went doen to vote and they fook me off when they moan about this tax and this charge and how much fuel is etc and i tell them they have no right to moan when they would'nt get down to vote.

Totally agree with all the comments so far! Yes Cookie, it is a disgrase, and I to get pee'd off with people having a moan and I then find out, they didn't vote because they didn't see the point, or can't be bothered!

 

I myself have been voting against this government since I can remember, people tell me "why?, they will just get in anyway!"

 

But what they fail to realise is, if they don't vote, it just means Labour have a stronger chance of getting back in!

 

SO, VOTE, BUT NOT FOR LABOUR!!!

 

It will take years to get this country back in the state it should be, we don't need Labour in for another term to cock it up even more! Suddeenly the Conservative party doesn't seem that bad after all!

 

But, can I just say this, I think it will not be long before this country will be in the middle of a recession again. Why? I hear you ask, well think about it, all these immigrant workers coming over here to work,are under cutting every job there is. Be it skilled or unskilled, they will quite happily take less money that us - the people that have to live here and pay bills and raise families.

 

The employers are as bad as well, all it comes down to is money. If they can save a few quid by employing people that will work for less, they will. It just comes down to greed. The fat cat bosses will be sitting pretty all nice and rich, while the likes of you and me that had to work & study hard to get where we are, wont have a pot to piss in. It is hard enough for first time buyers as it is to get a mortgage, let alone having to pay one off if you are out of work! Think of the many families and homes that were destroyed when the property prices hit rock bottom in the mid to late 80's!

 

This really has to be sorted out, and sorted out NOW. When will we start to take priority in our country again????
