I'm a complete racist, I occasionly use words like blackboard and sing baa baa black sheep to my daughter, I even had a St Goerges flag on my car during the world cup surely that gets me a life time membership of the NF. I might even put up decorations at Christmas! The fookin countrys gone mad

I normally steer clear of threads like this but this is my 3rd reply so you can imagine how strongly i feel about this subject.....

 

ah yes but most of the people you are all on about are NOT immigrants....they are second third fourth etc generation born-in-Britain Citizens who just happen to be not English....

 

I understand what you are saying but disagree completeley.Come & live where i live for 6 months & see how many people are walking around unable to speak a word of English,how on earth can these people be "2nd or 3rd generation born in britain citizens".

My mums side of the family are Greek & settled here after the war so i am technically 3rd generation not that you would know it (as any of you who met me would know!) because my relatives adapted to the country they chose to live in & were proud to be British citizens.

Which i believe is the point of this thread,as written at the start "IMIGRANTS. NOT BRITONS MUST ADAPT." If mine & thousands of other peoples relatives had to do it-why should things be so different now?

 

This country is heading the same way as America,where there is certain area's for one race,certain area's for another only difference is we arent the size of America so are all being forced together on an already overcrowded island.Added to this the people who run this country foolishly believe we can all live as one big happy family whilst they constantly remove more of this countrys identity & try & make us change our way of life so we dont upset others.

 

Its time people start looking at the bigger picture,think of the Britain we used to have compared to the mess its in now,then imagine how bad it will be when your grandchildren are grown up.I shudder to think how bad it will be unless people start waking up.

Those of you who see immigrants all as spongers should be ashamed of yourselves and thank your lucky stars that by an accident of birth you were born here. Many in this world are not so fortunate and like or not we either help them to a better life here or we end up paying another way. How many millions of our tax revenue go in overseas aid to third world nations? How many lives in our military have been lost trying to resolve conflicts where people are killing each other over things as simple as food supplies?

 

See the bigger picture, it's about more than just "they're taking our jobs" or "they're not mixing into the community"

 

Of course they're not mixing into the community many of them are ostracised from the minute they arrive, what choice do they have but to socialise and live in their own communities when we steadfastly refuse to accept them into ours?

 

And for the one who thinks the the answer to aids in Africa is for them not to have children, I give a quick lesson in African family structure in most countries: -

 

1) There is no state aid, old age pension or unemployment benefit

2) Whole families live in compounds, sometimes 4 generations deep

3) Daughters leave home to live with their husbands family, therefore daughters are undesirable as they shrink the family group, but sons are desirable because they expand it, for the same reason girls are frequently uneducated (school is not compulsory in many African countries)

4) Because of point one, when you are old the only people who will support you are your descendants it is therefore imperative that you have as many as possible

 

So what would you have them do?

But what about the ones that their country is not at war and they leave their country come here and blatantly live off the state? Big old newly built houses, cars, pocket money etc.

 

I mean I don’t know how many different race’s of people we have taken in, but surely their not all at war???

Firstly i'm not here to fall out with anyone and respect everyone has there point of view and hope everyone can respect my point of view

 

 

 

I see them as spongers and am not ashamed in the slightest, the true point of it is that we need to look after number one first, charity begins at home as they say, the situation at present seems to feel to me like your working for £200 a week and every friday your boss gives you £50 and says with a sad tone in his voice 'oh i had to give your £150 to the tramp down the road because he was hungry and needed a plane ticket for a weekend away!' and you would feel cheated, in a wierd way that if he said i gave him £100 to get a suit so he could get a job to pay you back it would be easier to swallow! but taking the money to rub a weekend away in is hard to swallow in thee way that immigrants get money and housing given to them .

 

Thats the same as in this country at the moment you feel cheated because it's like you put all the work in paying tax on what you earn, tax on what you spend, tax on what you save! and not getting a sausage back because the government are spending millions and millions on immigrant centres and advisors, translators,lawyers and the list goes on, not to mention all the handouts and houses etc.

 

 

And a said before if there countrys are that bad to live in how come our tax money pays for them to go back and visit how ever many times a year?????????

Thats been the point of the whole thread, no-one has slated immigrants just because they're immigrants only the spongers who can't be arsed paying there keep! We allready have enough home grown spongers in this country without letting in the rest of the worlds freeloaders

Have you read my post?? I dont see "ALL IMMIGRANTS" as spongers,but you cannot deny many of these people are here for a free ride.

As someone already stated,they had to come through plenty of other countries to get here,what gets me is if our relatives had to adapt why shouldnt people do so now.There is a difference between settling here & adapting to the culture & settling here & telling us how we should live

Its all very well helping as many people as you can but as someone else mentioned " like a life boat we can rescue/help so many then we sink ourselves "

Thankyou for the lesson,maybe if they had old age pension & unemployment benefit some of these immigrants would find themselves happier there.as far as i can see,growing old & having to look after yourself is better than spreading a deadly disease,what this has to do with the state my country is in im not sure. You made a reference to "home grown spongers" where you said

Malaria and civil war in Somalia or Sierra Leone and other similar places?

Children born with aids cause their infected parents can't afford birth control?

 

If they were "home grown" as you put it where does the connection to Somalia or sierra leone come from.Lets not forget many people & their relatives in this country have paid taxes for most of their working life & these benefits should be for them should they find themselves unemployed or facing hardship,not for other people to come & take advantage of.

i think the problem is here that some of you are confusing Non-English Citizens with scroungers. I would completely agree with you about the spongers, BUT there are MANY decent non-English people living in The UK who work hard and pay their taxes and are in a lot of cases are essential to provide the services they do . Why lump them all in together and brand them Immigrants? THAT is racist....

 

 

Oh and before you ask...yes I am An Immigrant.....my children arent though they are citizens of Ireland (and of the EU as I am myself..)

MoJo, your right mate. They were having a disscussion on LBC the other morning about teaching laguages in school, and also the amount of other languages written on leaflets and the like.

 

The outcome of that was, if you come to our country, you learn ENGLISH. It is after all the language of England/UK, although accents vary throughout the UK!

 

E.G, you go over to France, you ask a question in English, they don't bother replying to you. Why, well, the way they see it, you are in their country, the least you can do is learn their lingo. They have more respect for you, and they are more co-operative if you are trying to ask a question in French even though you are having difficulties. They will often answer you in English!

 

There should be no excuse, pretty soon, this country will loose all of it's identity! The whole world must really be laughing at us!!!

 

The way some schools pussy foot around the fact that some students can't read English and them asking for interpitatore, really does make me very, very angry!!!

Has anyone mentioned chucking out the Polish who settled there after WW2 or the many Irish or all the Auusies/yanks/Dutch etc? They all cling to their national Identity but you dont see them because they are white.

 

How is it you know who we are referring to but we don't (even though the majority have clarified the fact) This is not a thread about colour or creed, but a reaction to the ever decreasing quality of the country we call home. If there's nothing wrong with all the bone idle good for nothing element of the immigrants, perhaps they should come over, and live next door to you mate. I'm sure you'd love it.
