steve mk2 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 went for a trip to southend today and as we came close to the sea side we wer in heavy traffic for about ten mins just creeping at a slow moving pace of 10mph when some stupid cow ploughed into the back of my escort. it made the loudes bang ive ever herd and the car flew forward and i had to hit the breaks before i hit the car in front,,,,,, i was furious i went crazy at the stupid doris that should of been concentrating on the road !!!!!!!!!!!! im so upset iv finally got my car looking how i want it and she ruins it. i bet she aint insured either!!!!!!!!!!!! the damage rear panel - fooked bumper - fooked rea light mounts - fooked lenses cracked base of boot bent up boot lid bent this is a pic of wat it looked like yesterday and wat it looks like today i wish i never left the house today i guess i cant make it to ace or box hill for a while... why me!!!!!

Don't take any sh*t from insurance about writing it off, if they have trouble estimating the repair cost then ring up one of the specialist, Escort-Tec etc. Get your neck looked at first thing Monday - seriously, see a doc. Get your claim in. At first glance the rear panel is the troublesome bit especially if it needs replacing, you may be able to cut one out of a rotten motor or go to Express panels but they normally have a lead time. Rear bumpers seem tricky to get hold of too. Rear quarters look to be ok fortunately What a dopey b*tch! but at least your out there using the OSF's as they should be. It's sad but I nearly wet myself when I saw a MK2 4dr 1300L on the road in the week!

steve mk2 Posted March 3, 2007 Author Report Posted March 3, 2007 yer i must admit i was so upset as soon as the bitch hit me i didnt bother going to southend and just turnt round and went home again but i had to pull over a few times on the way home coz i was just too upset. im still in shock with what happened. it all happened so suddenly and i didnt do anything to cause this thats the anoying thing i was just rolling in slow moving traffic. ohh well.. il just have to go round a few places on monday get some quotes. il keep you all posted thanks for ya coments
