New OSF Website Template Available

[ZetecVan 2.0]

We've been working on a new fresh template for OSF and want your opinion. If you, our loyal supporters, think it's great we might just turn it into the websites default template.

 

To see this template, click 'profile' then scroll down until you see 'Board Style'. Change the pull down option from (probably) Black & White to AI2.

 

Let us know your thoughts.

websites with black backgrounds look too unproffessional in my opinion

There's certain aspects I like, parts of the layout, button placement, top bar etc.

 

I'd don't like the way it crunches the display left and right though at 1280x1024:

 

 

Also when viewing the front page it gets a bit chaotic with all the red text, maybe its because I'm used to b&w but it seems less cluttered.

I like it as it is mate but I think that is just because thats what I am used to I prefare it to the silver skin though

I voted "ok" this is'nt very helpfull to you I know but I dont mind what it looks like although I liked the new logo. Ive never been a fan of the current one, I always preferred the original, just my thoughts though mate, can't fault trying new things I did'nt even know I could change the colour of the screen

It's ok, but by and large I prefer Black and white as it seems less cluttered. I guess largely I agree with the above

i prefer it but have to use the silver skin as i access the site at work. black websites are a giveaway that i'm looking at something i shouldn't be.

I prefer the black and white but like some of you guys said, it could be because it's what I'm used to. I did like the banner at the top and the whole top of the forum seemed less cluttered

It is okay I suppose, not overly keen will go back to B&W.

i used to use the blue and silver but it seems neglectedwith buttons missing and the black hurts my eyes.

erm... well....

 

personally i think this bit on the old style is a mess and looks really amature

 

 

the new style is a lot tidyer

 

 

but i think the bottom section has waaaaayyyyy too much red and makes it really hard to read

 

 

i think bits that were highlighted in red on the black and white style would have to be changes as they dont stand out anymone

 

and the spinning YKT logo thing would have to have the background colour changed as it looks like you have stolen them off someone elses website

 

 

The new style does look a lot more profesnial (my spelling sucks) but why all in the middle.... kind of defeats the point of spending £200 on a wide screen monitor

 

just my oppinion (im sticking with the B&W for now)

Unprofessional and amateur. Not really words I'd normally associate with OSF, and a little harsh I thought. But valid opinions nonetheless.

 

I prefer black and white myself. After all, they are the OSF colours

I prefer the black n white, to me it goes with the OSF Logo's, clothing etc etc

would be better full width i feel, also i have now discovered the silver which im switching to as like a few others have said , the black and white is very harsh on the eyes.

does look less cluttered. but the poll bit at the top needs shrinking and the preview post and submit post buttons need to be moved to the middle.
