Admin Vista Posted October 23, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 23, 2006 Having worked very hard as my daily driver since April, mine was put to bed again at the end of September.................................Roll on the Spring, winter sucks!
Morley Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I run a constant, if not consistant, rota of "it's on the road until something either breaks or falls off or I can't afford petrol" Which seems to be most of the time
omj624p Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I took my RS off the road last month. More because of the £95 tax and I rarely use it in the winter so it seems like a waste. My white mk2 stays Taxed all year, but thats just in the hope that it snows I wont drive either in that slushy salty crap that our roads are covered with all winter.
Ian1300 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 mine will be off the road sometime in the near future
4parajon Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Mine wont be, it's taken too long to get it on the bloody road, I'm not putting it away now. I dont use it nearly enough as it is
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 No, the van will be sliding around the yorkshire streets all winter.
Mexico Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 tryin to get mine on the road for the winter
RFChris Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Well....i need to buy one. And when i do, it'll be sliding around the streets of Nailsea upsetting the locals! Chris
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Well....i need to buy one. And when i do, it'll be sliding around the streets of Nailsea upsetting the locals! Chris YFKT mate Jimbob loves terrorising his neighbourhood The Capri is my daily weapon of choice although, the Anglia was supposed to be at the Ace this evening! BUT, I am concerned about my councils yearly activities when it comes to gritting the roads. Yes, Greenwich council like to throw shite loads of salt down just because the weatherman says it may be a bit chilly For this reason alone, I will be using my scooter more this winter and only use the Capri for a long journey. BTW, they don't do all the roads round here in the mountains, so I will be going sideways in the snow at the earliest oppoutunity! YKT
RETRO_AL Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 well mine is sat in the garage awaiting some parts, and one job for gary to do when hes free, then i shall be putting her back togther and getting her ready for next year, i have a feeling its ganna be a good year
sambo Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Well, if funds allow, i hope to be Alan Mann ing my mk1 escort. But its quite unlikely. It needs new seals now and the engine bay needs doing, so while thats being done, i may as well get some red and gold paint on there with some bubbles??? We' ll see.......

YKT There are mountains in Greenwich I must have missed them last time I was in London
Gareth Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I'm hopin to get 1 on the road by the winter. And t'other will be done when its done Got fed up of predicting when it'll be finished.
spa special Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 boxhill will be the last outing for me and thats with a f##ked engine. after that i will saving up for new engine. i guess it was a bad idea fitting the turbo after all
billc Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I'm hoping to get mine off the road this winter for the first time ever. Mostly to do a bit of work on it- got a list of jobs longer than both arms to do!! Also got the minor job of putting a new engine in my bike, so I'll be a busy bee this winter, and mostly driving my girlfriend's Clio (got to be extra nice to her!!)
