Lose the garden swing roll bar and spotlights, fit silver enamelled banded steels, dog dish hub caps, yeah, I'd roll along in that. (as long as the hood didnt look like one off a cheap pram)

Got this one sent to me today! Why would you do THIS?

He did it to build something wildly different for a very small budget. Was a good feature in Custom Car a couple of issues ago. Not my taste though it seems very well built.

Probably done with knowledge of what was happening to the CFS and thought the round ones going hot rodding instead!

Runs a pre '96 BMW 318is engine so it could still get in if he wished. Lol

Yep heard of the Tuareg, they do/did a thing on unknown Fords in the back of Performance Ford magazine each month and had it there.

Has this been on here? Scrolled back through twenty odd pages and no sign of it...attachicon.gif12227027_10153779085034648_9221604707752915036_n.jpeg

Dead City,  tastefully modified to me .

Famous old custom built in Romford

Thing is, years ago,  a lot of the custom cars were seriously radical.

The work that went in to them was phenominal.

Not to offend anyone, but many cars these days are modified with parts bought from a catalogue

In the 70's and 80's there was only deals on wheels or John Brown Wheels who mostly sold wheels, air horns, jack up kits, and spray on window tint ( ask me how i know)

Have a look on Rodsnsods to see cars built from scratch.

Yeah I'm on rodsnsods too (been in to custom cars for 20 years and it's where I bought my chopped Minor) but I don't really go on there now.

Lot of work to get a Fox bodied Mustang/Opel Ascona B cross breed lookalike, I like it. (but I now have one foot in the Generals camp.....)

I also see a bit of Mazda Montrose Coupe in the C post, but I'm weird that way.

2/3th Capri, 1/3th ???.

Can't figur it out..

Must confess, kinda liked it.

It looks a bit Skyline something made by Ford. Thinking about it, factory fitted with a 2.9 Cossy 24V it would have been something Ford "should" have made in the eighties.

Butt thats my 50cents.
