He ran 14.24 at Bruntingthorpe for this article, quotes having run 13.67 at Pod with 285 bhp, "As we went to press Mark was heading for Avon Park to get into the 12 second bracket" Awesome car mate!! (and even better now) I don't know if you ever broke into the 12's in this incarnation of your car, and if you didn't, it adds fuel to the "we ARE going faster now than we were then".

I remember the day of the feature well,it was the day i had just come back from a lads holiday in magaluf and i was knackered All those late nights clubbing and getting into bed at 8 in the morning Nice pinto mate and a tidy feature from classic ford in it's heyday Any pics of you in the 99 fashions then Kev (shell suit etc ) Is that when your car done a 13.4 secs on street rubber then ? That was the budget garage built 190bhp engine in there at that time,2.1 bottom end from big Jon it was a spare engine he had at H.T's that was £400 and a burton full race head with BF63 cam and 48's that run a 14.1 @ 101mph on road tyres, dunlop 185/55/13's sp2000's. Shortly after the feature that engine was sold and i bought the 2.2 that used to be big Dans who had Evan's old black mk2 escort And now Ickys got the engine and its been re-blocked and is still going strong
