So is mine
But can you go quicker than 13.0 secs on street rubber then ?

These 3 are the fastest PROPER COMFY N.A. 4 cylinder oldskoolfords at the Pod without gas and in a road legal state at the time i think . Ron Harris Jnr mk1 escort Harris X-FLOW GAZ in 13.6 secs (or thereabouts as was a few years ago and can't remember exactly ) , Tony Simpsom mk1 escort Harris pinto in 13.8 secs and Richard Harrison Anglia 105E Harris

Here they are , these 3 are the current fastest N.A. 4 cylinder oldskoolfords that were street legal at the time . Watch out for them down the High Street pictures683.jpgcalendar003.jpgpictures069.jpg

Slicks took 1/2 a second off. 12.8

My mk2 has only got no carpet/heater etc.

Apart from that its fully built up.

All steel panels, glass, even complete doors :ykt:

Nice picture Gaz

They're you go folks , decent slicks are worth at least 1/2 a second and worth much more time the more power you've got . I think we can all agree that a N.A. 4 cylinder genuine street car in a fully M.O.T. passable condition at the time of the run without gas that can go faster than 13.5 secs is very rare indeed , so when mine does it with all the bits still on it i expect some beer !!!!!!!!!:mrgreen::mrgreen::beer:

DarrenM , can you post up some pics of your V8 12 sec comfy street car capri so people know what it looks like ? I've got no pics of it to post up only a video on a DVD i bought from Halfords

I did a 13.7 at Brunters on that video but still @ 109 mph, then knocked a second off in EXACTLY the same spec at Shakey!

I have a MK1 Capri lined up to receive the running gear from this one so hope to be a bit faster with a bit of weight off and still do track days at Castle Combe!

See the MK1 Capri in Classic Ford this month, 11.66@117 on street tyres 8)

I thought Ron Harris Jnr ran around 13.8 on slicks with his cross flow.

Jon Harris may have run 13.7 on his CF but that was definately on slicks.

When I ran my 13.35 on slicks (2005) the twins were there and I'm fairly sure they said that was quicker than Ronny or Jon had ever gone even on slicks.

Quick cars even on slicks :thumbsup:

So did or did not Ron Harris Jnr do a 13.6 sec run on street tyres in comfy street trim or is Tony Simpsons Harris pinto mk1 escort the fastest of the 4 cylinder N.A. comfys without gas then ? This is my mates car so i know it's run a 13.8 secs at 98 mph at the pod cos i was standing there watching  . No slicks , no gas , no turbo/supercharger , no bits missing , all steel 100% original bodywork , proper glass windows with full interior , window wider mechanisms , heater the fooooooking lot !!!!!!!!! :ykt::thumbsup:IMG_1129.jpg

You did what?

Pic's please

No digital ones of the '67 without scanning paper prints. '66 was my favourite and I still regret selling now, I kept the wheels though and will have another!

A lot of you will remember "big john" and his famous yellow mexico.

He ran i beleive 13.1 with a 2.2 pinto.

And drove it to the pod  no trailor/a frame.

Chatting to him on the M1 ,on the way to USC late 90s.

Heavy traffic,he had 50s,paddle clutch and a dog box,

Very funny seeing him go sideways inbetween the traffic

Anyone got any pics when john had the mex?

Just found your car on you tube when Mark had it

Nice! He ran a 13.1 with the 2.2 pinto on worn 185 A032's, I've added some weight and some power, hoping to run similar on A048's. Spoke to Mark this week, going to take the Escort up to see him once the Cossie install is finished - not long now. Love this vid of him:
