My brother in law sold the very first one of these, when he was a salesman at Jack Barclay Cars in Berkeley Square in London. When the showroom was both Rolls Royce and FIAT 😲

I also had a FIAT 124 Coupe BC many years ago that was also supplied by Jack Barclay. It was weird as it had the dealer sticker in the rear window stating that they were Rolls Royce & FIAT lol.

Isuzu 117?, but I'm guessing it's an import or pre 1978, due to the mirrors being on the wings.   After 1978 the exterior mirror on the drivers side of the vehicle must be capable of being adjusted by the driver when in his driving position, therfore they went from the wings and onto the doors.

Not Ford but Ford based, Mk1 Escort running gear, dash, wiring, seats etc, 1600 xflow, 4 speed box with High / Low selection and forward PTO running a winch, all Alloy body, i bought it as a wreck down in Portsmouth, pic taken around 1990 when it was part restored, i later refitted the rear seats and made a steel hoop an canvas back cover for it, it drove really well, I mot'd it an sold it to someone in Bognor Regis, last time i saw it was about a year later Painted Barbie Pink and sat in a garden for years!!!

I was told it was one of two made as a project (southampton university) for Africa so they could build cheap cars from scrap escorts?, cant remeber the Name given to it?, but never ever saw another one,

I have some more pics somewhere?

I remember 30 years or so ago a company offered a 2 wheel drive off road conversion for Escorts but I dont think it looked like that one. It had its own name too but cant remember what it was?

Good God! It was hideous as a prototype as well but at least the double stacked wing came in useful later on LOL!

Didn't they go out of fashion in the 50's - bit like those Ford designers LOL!
