Not bad. A few gaps there but not bad at all. Tip 8 is not American though (Although some of it is), and 10 is not German

I just sold a 1970  Spanish SEAT 850 Spider (identical but made in Spain) , that I'd owned for 30 years. The guy I sold it to, owns the local SEAT car dealership. He's having it restored to go in the show room.

Which is nice.😁

Oh wow! You know its a car I love but never seen one in real life and never had the opportunity to speak to an owner either. They say you should be scared to meet your heroes cause they dont live up to expectations but I have to ask what was it like? Are they slow and buzzy or low enough to the ground to still feel your in an Italian sports car?

30 years? Gosh I dont think I could have sold it after that time and suspect some regrets may come your way in years to come.

With a small 4 cylinder 903cc engine it was very revvy, but went quite well , as they are quite small and light.

as to "low to the ground", as I am getting older , I found it more difficult to get in and out of it , and the MX5 in the background, so they are both moved on to new owners.

Every thnig is for sale, and we never really own anything, we just look after it .

Ive moved on to old Fords now . apart from the  Holden, that I to go to work in the summer, but Ive had that about 5 years now, so if any of your countrymen want it back, I can arrange export.😁

Many many years ago I went to a guy to buy some Minilites. As we were interested in Minilites, Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts he showed us what he had hiding in a small garage (he had a big shed also). It is (was) a genuine Willment Mk1 race car. After that used a speedway (oval) car here in Holland. Current owner gave it a gentle make-over (just paint and rebuild the engine).

You would need to be Schwarzenegger's big brother to drive it on the road. On the track it is not so bad as the car is rolling (at speed). This is how it looks today.

Is it me or does that Capri look like the most sinister thing you ever saw?

Who would have through the creature from the black lagoon was really a Capri? 🤔

Touring rural France in the Dordogne and something XJ shaped caught my eye through the dust and cobwebs in the window of an abandoned derelict garage.

Hauled on the anchors and sure enough, a very sad looking XJ12 (and spare engine). A quick look round the side revealed a broken window so I couldn't resist a closer look. My father lives nearby and tells me it's been sat there since at least 2016 when the garage closed down through ill health. There was quite a bit of French tat in there too.
