Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 23, 2023 Moderator Report Posted February 23, 2023 Hey guys has anyone dealt with or spoken to anyone at the Classic Parts Shack recently? I made an order of over two hundred quid more than a month ago and haven't seen any sign of it. I got confirmation of shipping but the UPS number given for tracking comes up with a does not exist error. I have emailed them several times even to ask if they could check the tracking their end but I haven't had a single word from them only that one shipping advice via automated message a month ago. So just checking if they are actually still operating at all that if anyone has spoken to them? @BIG G You once mentioned Steve the guy there was nice, are you in touch with him still? Thanks everyone
Ray Posted February 23, 2023 Report Posted February 23, 2023 i stopped trying to buy from them years ago, everytime i placed an order and paid for it, they cancelled the order and returned my money but have to say, i never lost my money, just appeared they were trying to sell stuff they never had 1
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 25, 2023 Author Moderator Report Posted February 25, 2023 If you were given a UPS number in the UK where would you check a number that was given you? I searched for UPS Uk and entered the number there but it just comes up as an error?
Johnny Boy Posted February 25, 2023 Report Posted February 25, 2023 This is the tracking site we in the UK would use, but you may have checked that already. click here for UPS uk tracking
Johnny Boy Posted February 25, 2023 Report Posted February 25, 2023 If you send me the number on a PM , I can check from UK, maybe you can't check because you are in OZ 1

You would think so but Im a bit desperate by this point so willing to try anything.
Miniliteman Posted February 25, 2023 Report Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) There is a (or more than 1) website where you can enter a tracktrace number and it searches on all the tracking website of UPS, DHL etc if there is a number of your parcel. Google and you will find it (can't remember the name). Edited February 25, 2023 by Miniliteman
Admin Vista Posted March 3, 2023 Admin Report Posted March 3, 2023 Well I just tried calling the land line number on their website and the mobile number listed......both are dead numbers. I hate to say it James, I reckon you've been had. A check on the company VAT number leads you to an individual rather than a company and that individual is not listed as company director for any companies registered with companies house.
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted April 17, 2023 Author Moderator Report Posted April 17, 2023 Well after months of filling out forms and waiting Paypal gave me my money back. No sign of the parcel whatsoever. UPS are meant to pass it onto Australia Post for regular delivery but it never made it that far. They say that it was labelled poorly and didnt know what was inside and one entry said the parcel was disposed off months ago. I still would like to get some of those Capri Laser wheel nuts though, anyone else know of another supplier?
Typ_53 Posted October 9, 2024 Report Posted October 9, 2024 Hi, I just joined this forum so I could confirm that Classic Parts Shack is still trading, to help others who may see this thread (the only review of Classic Parts Shack I could find online). As Vista pointed out, they are are not a registered company, but operate as a sole trader or partnership, I would guess run by an older couple. I ordered an NOS part for my VW Scirocco in the early hours of Sunday morning, choosing their cheapest delivery option - Royal Mail Signed for 2nd Class. Email and text message confirmation came straight away, followed by despatch notification later on Sunday, complete with Royal Mail reference number (not trackable before delivery). The part arrived well packed and in good condition on Wednesday. Hopefully this post will reassure anyone who has come across Classic Parts Shack and is looking for reassurance about its continued legitimacy. 1
bobbaldilocks Posted October 9, 2024 Report Posted October 9, 2024 Hi and thanks for posting your experience and confirmation. I may well be responsible for casting the most recent doubt regarding 'classicpartsshack.co.uk'. I registered and uploaded this a couple of days ago but I think it's still awaiting moderation. Good morning all. I was drawn to this forum in a bid to help someone who wrote into the 'boundless' magazine recently. The gentleman explained that he has a 1990 2.9 Granada Ghia that has developed an ABS brake booster fault and he is hopeful of finding a replacement. I originally went down a cul de sac of 'classicpartsshack.co.uk' but am thankful to the members comments here that strongly suggest this has now ceased. So, naturally I'll encourage him to register with you, as I have done today, but in the interim I'm hoping to obtain a view of likely suppliers who'll be able to help in his search. Cheers ps - I think it's customary for newbies to share their classic Ford credentials. Sorry, I don't currently have any, other than I had a few Mk 2 Cortina's back in the day and ar kid has been a Ford main dealer technician all his working life. So, back to classicpartsshack.co.uk I can see that an active Retards Club page exists, but I'm not registered with Retards Club. So I navigated to the 'About us' link on the website which contains a mobile number and postal address in Sleaford. The telephone number is dead, but the website looks to be comprehensive and has recent updates. It always provides an extra layer of assurance if you can speak to a human at the end of the phone, whether to clarify a potential part prior to ordering or just general chat prior before parting with your brass. It begs the question I guess, can telephone contact be made with classicpartsshack.co.uk or did you place your VW Scirocco order using their website? Because I'm making this enquiry on behalf of someone who might be similarly socially excluded (media that is!), I guess he'd like to speak to someone too. Cheers 1
bobbaldilocks Posted October 9, 2024 Report Posted October 9, 2024 Typo correction. I don't know and cannot explain why my entry of 'Retards Club' auto corrected, but suffice to say, it should read Retards Club. Ps did suggest I join the alternative group!! 1
bobbaldilocks Posted October 9, 2024 Report Posted October 9, 2024 Further typo correction....oh my Goodness, this is now getting a bit daft. I won't even try to type the name of the social media platform that I'm trying to state here. It starts with F and ends in book.

It has looked dodgy for a while and they never answer questions 🤔. With respect to the auto correction of F Book we all know what it means 🤣 @Vista may be able to explain why.

I placed an online order through their website and can confirm the goods were despatched very promptly in line with my chosen postage method and arrived within 2 working days without hitch. I had no need to ring them, so can't confirm whether the mobile number on their website is still current. However, from my perspective, as a UK customer, I would have no hesitation in ordering from the Classic Parts Shack again.
