The cars up for auction

Recommended Posts

The Harrier went live on the Classic car auction @ the NEC show 22/24 March. See what the old girl brings.

Begs the question………..WHAT NEXT ???

Come on then …….your suggestions

some might even say don’t bother 😜

I nearly bought one of these before I bought the Sport. It was in Essex, they are few and far between. Rot boxes but I had one when I lived in Moss Side. Sold it to a Rasta who ran the local Shebeen. He ragged the arse off it.

Cracking car and great rally lineage. If I had the money and space, I’d have another.

Pictures look great col, a stunner. I could scrape together about 10,000 euro if you want a painless sale, but you would have to pay for shipping, oh and an air con install into her. Good luck with the sale mate,I hope she brings what she is worth. Next project..............mobility scooter 😂

Not sure, could be a change in direction

You could do a Mk3 Cortina GT or a Triumph Dolomite Sprint?

Other options could include Vauxhall Firenza or Avenger Tiger - plenty of rot to contend with if you can find one.

Why not get a big V8 like a Jenson Interceptor?

If you head away from Ford then maybe a Chevette HSR or Lotus Sunbeam

not a love4 of the Chevy, if going Vauxhall would be viva HB GT or Firenza

Why Col? 😲

If they’re paying silly money for cars, why not ? Soon build something else if I get the time or the wife lets me 🤫

I had a 1972 2.3 Firenza SL sport back in the early 80's , when all my mates had hotted up Escorts.

The 200 plus Bhp of the tuned 2.3 on 48 delorto's wiped the floor with the Escorts.

The torque kept breaking the Vauxhall gearboxes, so I changed to a Ford Cortina Mk 3 gearbox, and that took the abuse.

I wish I still had it. At the time I didn't know how rare a 2300 SL Sport model was 🙄

Is it the same price as was on NEC?  This is a dealer near me, just wondering about their mark-up. I promise I'm not gonna buy it although it would be cheaper than another Ford....
