DT36 Posted September 21, 2022 Report Posted September 21, 2022 We have a Tiguan as our daily and it's been a really good car.ย Bought a Mondeo for last winters project and breakfast meets when it's wet, but have been using it to go into work as it's a nice drive.ย Got a van that we bought to go camping or theย seaside with our grown up kids, which has basically relegated my Escort to the bench. Used it for a breakfast meet once in March and took it to B&Q about 3 weeks ago to get some paint and brushes.ย So, it's done about 20 miles this year. Just not getting used.ย ย 3 1

Miniliteman Posted September 21, 2022 Report Posted September 21, 2022 Years ago there was the same discussion / topic on a Dutch Ford forum. I replied that I my other car was a Suzuki Alto with 177 bhp. A guy replied that he thought that was b*llsh*t and said that he would eat his shoes if it was true. Think he had stomach issues for a long time ๐ ย 2 1 2
TEA Posted September 22, 2022 Report Posted September 22, 2022 Here goes, this Alfa Romeo AR-8 2.4 turbodiesel is probably the only one in Finland. We did a huge amount of welding on floors, sills, door openings, window surroundings etc. couple years ago but we left all the patina on it. Its fun to drive because for other people it doesnยดt look roadworthy even it has a mot on it. True Italian sportscarย ๐ ย This Datsun Violet 1600 is also very enjoyable as its low mileage and all original inside, Like a time machine.ย ย Last is my 200sx, not really enjoyable on streets anymore as it has everything stripped, aggressive twin disc-clutch and a bit under 500hp ย ย 1 4

accord83 Posted November 18, 2022 Report Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) ย I currently need a comfortable toy for longer runs as the Escort hurts on anything other than local stuff, hip knackered. Iย couldnโt afford something in Olympic Blue, so I bought Volvoโs nearest today. The Transplanter Posted November 18, 2022 Report Posted November 18, 2022 I currently have 3 old Fords, but I have a bit of a fetish for VW MK1 Caddys. I see my very first one in the 80's when the guy I sold my RS2 to had one as a company pickup and had fancied one ever since! I got my first one in 99 and have had more than 20 since then. Here are my current ones: 1988 2.8 VR6 Turbo. I originally built this one in 2003 and took it off the road in 2011, its currently on a slow burn to get it finished but hoping to do it over the winter Previously ย Currently I also have this rare factory GTi engined Caddy with just 66k miles and original paint And lastly, I have this GTI Engineering Caddy, 1 of only 2 built and currently waiting its turn for restoration.ย ย 4 1

Since 1972. Go figure, They knew their roo deflecting market very well and set up shop! So I dont think we nicked anyone else's but does make you wonder if they added a bit of extra carbon for the Australian market and the roo factor? LOL 1

Nursebetty Posted November 21, 2022 Report Posted November 21, 2022 Recently got a Landcruiser, mainly to fit the growing family and allow us some room to get away and do some camping. We grew up in landcruisers so to have one was a little life goal of mine. Although now it does get alot of the modding attention and the escort just gets the odd sunday cruise. 3 1
BIG G Posted November 21, 2022 Author Report Posted November 21, 2022 I went across the Nullarbor in 2002 in a Ford Fairlane, bonkers place.

chinkamon Posted November 27, 2022 Report Posted November 27, 2022 Well.... I have 2 other vehicles, and enjoy them in different ways, but not like "it's a hot summers day, let's go for a drive" kind of way... So first up is the daily.. Mazda 5 because of the kids. But can't fault the thing, the ingenuity they used when designing the interior is very clever, with regard to the way the back seats all move forward an back independently an recline an the storage solutions hidden under the seats etc an the 2 hidden seat in the boot.ย So long journeys is a nice car to be in. ย Second is the van.... A "vauxhall" ev, for a fleet ( lower than base) spec van it's the best equipped I've had, it's silent, comfortable, handles like it's on rails an a really enjoyable van to be in and as I drive 150-200 mile a day it needs to be nice, had a fleet spec transporter before an was absolutely woeful, couldn't wait to get out of the bloody thing, loud uncomfortable absolutely shocking interior etc. I'm easily pleased I know. But that's my other vehiclesย 2
